(1) To protect and promote national forests and biological diversity, there will be an armed forest guard service to prevent illegal hunting of wild animals and theft of forest products and to protect forest resources.
(2) The service constituted as per sub-section (1) shall have the prescribed posts.
(3) The organizational structure and staffing of the Armed Forest Guard Service shall be as prescribed by the Government of Nepal.
(4) Other arrangements regarding the appointment and service conditions of armed forest guards shall be as prescribed.
